ALERC has a number of working groups that comprise directors and other members. The role of these groups is to progress the work of ALERC in a number of different areas. They may or may not meet physically, but will carry out much of their work electronically via email. They will also report on their work and interact with the general membership through the ALERC forum. Below, you will find more information on the working groups, including their terms of reference, membership and supporting documents.
Business DevelopmentThis group will seek to develop the reach of the Association of Local Environmental Records Centres and its members. It will work with relevant external organisations on furthering the understanding and awareness of ALERC and individual records centres within our target audiences. This group will also seek to grow the operational capacity of ALERC and its members through proactive external engagement and identifying shared business development opportunities. Importantly, it will seek to build sustainable long term relationships, with potential funders and users of LERC services, and provide knowledge sharing, and guidance to members on best practice and innovations in our sector.
